UEFA Nations League
Scotland march on to the Nation's League semi-finals.
Scotland's final match of 2018 would end in sheer delight as a James Forrest hat-trick was enough to take them top of the group and reach the semi-finals of the Nations League.
A Kayal 25 yard strike set the tone of a difficult night ahead for the men in navy blue. Fortunately, however, Scotland were deservedly level through a James Forrest strike after the half hour mark.
Then, just before the break, Forrest tried his luck again - seeing his effort rifle the back of the net.
The extreme conditions would not dampen the spirits of the Eck's soldiers, who continued to hassle the Israel defence. After a good counter, Forrest's lovely firsty touch found him one on one with the keeper, slotting home for his hat-trick and fifth goal for Scotland.
Israel flung everything at Scotland from then on in, bagging a defective goal whcih sailed past McGregor.
The away side's efforts were not enough as Scotland held on. Hampden eruptted with joy. Scotland achieving back to back wins.
