Betfred Cup Semi Final

Aberdeen 1 Rangers 0

Aberdeen 1 Rangers 0

Shane Ferguson's second half header was enough to put Aberdeen in the Betfred Cup Final on the 2nd December.

The game commenced a scrappy affair. Players on each side trying to be positive from the start. Rangers got hold of the majority of the possesion but created little up front.
The Dons' Niall McGinn scooped an effort over the bar, after good work from the team from the north.

The second 45 would be the same. Rangers having most of the play but could not break down the defensive duties of Aberdeen. Kent lashed one over. James Tavernier forced a save from Joe Lewis. Coulibaly touched one just wide from a corner.

McGinn would then swing in a corner on the 79th minute which found the head of Ferguson who bulleted the ball past McGregor.

It proved to be enough as the game played to a close. 1-0 the final score. Aberdeen, for the second time in two years, will compete in a Scottish League Cup Final.
