There’s not long to go until Ed Sheeran returns to Scotland with his mammoth new Mathematics world tour for 2 huge shows at Hampden Park. Here’s some information so that you can get organised and have the best time possible, whilst also keeping yourself and your belongings safe.  

WHEN ARE THE SHOWS? 

Ed Sheeran will be playing Hampden Park on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 June 2022.  

BEFORE YOU READ ON… 

There are several things you must do BEFORE you come to the show, to guarantee a smooth entry for you and your party.  

  • DOWNLOAD your ticket to your mobile phone 
  • TRANSFER any additional tickets to the other members of your party so they can download them to their mobile phones 
  • ARRANGE to meet up with the rest of your party as you must all enter with the lead booker, even after transferring a ticket 
  • CHARGE your phone 

WHAT TIME CAN I ARRIVE? 

The box offices open at 12pm & the entrances will open at 4pm each day. We will be conducting enhanced checks of tickets and bag searches at the venue so we strongly recommend you arrive early.  

HOW DO I GET TO HAMPDEN PARK? 

We strongly encourage you to use public transport to get the venue. Using public transport is the easiest, safest and fastest way to Hampden Park.  

If travelling by train, the stadium is a 5-minute walk from Mount Florida Station and 15 minutes’ walk from King’s Park Station. Both of these stations run trains to and from Glasgow Central.  

Due to the ongoing reduced train timetable, please visit the ScotRail website at www.scotrail.co.uk to check service provision and to plan your journey ahead of time. 

There are also multiple bus routes that run direct to the stadium from Glasgow city centre. These buses are numbers; 5, 6, 7, 7A, 34, 90 and 31.  

First Bus are providing an express return service from the venue into the City after the shows: https://www.firstbus.co.uk/greater-glasgow/plan-journey/hampden-express 

Happy Bus are providing a coach service and a city shuttle service to and from the stadium:

There is no parking at the stadium, or around the stadium. On event days Glasgow City Council impose a ‘major event parking zone’ meaning that only residents can park in the surrounding areas of the stadium. 

Recommended car parks in the city are; Q Park Albion Street, NCP Montrose Street, Merchant City High Street, NCP King Street, NCP Glassford Street, NCP Dunlop Street, City Parking Duke Street.

The Uber pick up point for after the show is Queen's Drive next to Queen Park Recreation Ground. 

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I ARRIVE AT HAMPDEN PARK? 

A new paperless ticketing system will be in operation and no physical tickets will be issued in advance. You will need to have downloaded your tickets BEFORE you arrive at the stadium. Please make sure your phone is fully charged.  

The lead booker should also bring the following as they may be asked for them in order to gain entry to the event: 

  • Your booking confirmation email (you can show this on your phone or printed out) 
  • Government issued photo ID that matches the name of the lead booker (driving licence or passport) 

Our stewards will be on hand to help you when you arrive. Look out for them in their coloured high visibility jackets.

MY PHONE IS OUT OF BATTERY SO I CAN’T ACCESS MY TICKET(S)? 

Please make sure your phone is fully charged before you leave the house to avoid this situation. Of course if you run out of battery please go to the box office where someone will be able to assist you to find your order. 

 

WHAT IF I LOSE MY MOBILE PHONE OR CHANGE MY NUMBER BEFORE THE SHOWS? 

Please contact the customer services email of the ticket agent you booked through before coming to the event. 

 

WHAT IF MY MOBILE PHONE IS LOST OR STOLEN ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW? 

Don’t worry, we have a full record of every lead booker who bought tickets for the shows and will be able to help. Please make your way to the box office in the first instance. 

 

I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND – CAN I RESELL MY TICKETS? 

If you can no longer attend the concert you must only sell tickets through official fan to fan resale through your ticket provider. The opportunity for fan to fan resale will close 3 days before the concert.  

If you have sold your tickets through Viagogo or any other secondary site these buyers will not get in to the concert. You should inform the person you sold them to instantly. 

If you or someone you know were sold tickets for the show through either Viagogo or any other unauthorised ticket site, these tickets will not be valid for entry. 

 

WHAT ARE THE SHOW TIMES? 

Doors: 16:00  

Dylan: 18.00 – 18:30   

Maisie Peters: 19.00– 19:45 

Ed Sheeran: 20:15 - 22:30  

Curfew: 23:00

Please note strobe lighting will be in use during the show. 

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I LEAVE THE STADIUM? CAN I COME BACK? 

No, if you leave the event you won’t be able to come back in. Once you’re in, you’re in so please make sure you bring everything you need with you. 

 

IF I ARRIVE LATE, WILL I STILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE? 

Yes, latecomers will be permitted entry. Please follow instructions from stewards on arrival.  

 

WHERE IS THE BOX OFFICE? 

The box office is located outside the North West side of the stadium in two portable cabins. You can collect your tickets here, and will be able to ask any questions you have about your tickets. The box office will open at 12pm each day and remain open until Ed 

Sheeran hits the stage. 

 

IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION FOR THE SHOW? 

Yes, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the show, we have imposed age 

restrictions. Nobody under the age of 14 will be allowed in the standing area. Children aged between 0 – 14 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+. 

 

WHAT SECURITY WILL BE IN PLACE? 

Enhanced security checks are in place on arrival at Hampden Park, we ask you to please support and cooperate fully so our team can efficiently carry out these measures to ensure your safety and make sure you are inside the stadium in time for the show. 

We ask that you keep personal belongings to a minimum and only bring your essentials. Please do not bring large bags, as these will not be allowed into the arena. 

 

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE A LOST OR FOUND CHILD? 

Please speak immediately to the nearest member of staff, ideally someone in the security or stewarding team but most staff members are able to raise an alert. 

 

CAN I BRING A BAG? 

You are permitted to bring one small bag or handbag no larger than 30 x 30cm; anything bigger won’t be allowed in. There are no temporary storage facilities for any items not allowed in the venue and it will be left to you to find a safe facility to hold any items. Bags left in unauthorised surrounding areas will be disposed of immediately by the police. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for late admission or non-admission as a result of this policy. 

 

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL INTO THE CONCERT? 

No. Alcohol cannot be brought to the venue, and fans are reminded that drinking in public is prohibited in Glasgow. 

 

WHAT CAN I EAT? 

You are not allowed to bring your own food into the stadium. There will be plenty of food offerings inside selling a wide variety of food will be available to cater for all needs, this includes gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. 

Hampden Park is a cashless stadium so please make sure you have the ability to make card/contactless payments. 

 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING? 

To make your experience as enjoyable as possible we recommend bringing the following items with you: 

  • The original email booking confirmation and a Government-issued photo ID which matches the name of the lead booker
  • Appropriate clothing, footwear and protection for the weather of the day. The roof will be open so if you’re standing on the pitch in general admission and it rains, you will get wet! In the event of adverse weather conditions, we would advise bringing a rain mac or disposable raincoat.
  • Bank card; Hampden Park is a cashless stadium
  • Photo ID. We recommend bringing your identification no matter what age you are as the bars will be operating a Challenge 25 policy and therefore you will need to use ID if you look under 25 and wish to purchase alcohol.
  • Medication. We recommend bringing your prescription and/or a doctor’s note for any medication you wish to bring in to the event to show to security during the search procedure on entry.

 

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN’T BRING INTO THE EVENT? 

All persons may be searched but all bags will be searched on entry to the stadium. 

Please do not bring any of the following with you as you will not be allowed to enter the site if any of these items are found in your possession: 

  • Aerosols  
  • Air horns 
  • Alcohol 
  • Animals (except assistance dogs) 
  • Backpacks/holdalls/rucksacks 
  • BBQs or any cooking apparatus 
  • Bicycles, scooters, roller skates 
  • Blow torches 
  • Bottles 
  • Cans 
  • Cameras (DSLR/SLR) with detachable lens 
  • Chairs 
  • Chinese lanterns

  • Cool bags / boxes (large) 
  • Cigarettes (more than for personal use)

Prohibited items will be confiscated and if any attendee is found with any illegal item they will be refused entry and referred to the Police.  

IS THERE AN EASY MEETING POINT INSIDE THE STADIUM? 

Due to the size of the stadium, there are no designated meeting points. We would suggest you decide on a rendezvous point with your friends/family when you arrive at your block/area of the stadium in case you should become separated. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE IN MY PARTY GOES MISSING? 

If you require assistance please contact a member of security or steward who will be happy to help. We recommend you agree a meeting point outside and away from the stadium in advance in case you become separated from your group as you leave the concert.  

I NEED SOME FIRST AID, WHERE CAN I FIND HELP? 

Medical facilities are available within the stadium. Our medical team will be mobile so if you require assistance please speak to a steward or security who will contact the medical team. 

I’VE LOST SOMETHING, WHAT DO I DO? 

Lost Property is initially held at the Stadium for 48hrs. Please speak to a steward if you think you have lost something. After 48hrs, lost property is transferred to Police Scotland at the Cathcart Police Office. 

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW? 

Here are a few top-tips for having the best time at the show; 

  • Make sure your phone is fully charged, you could even bring a portable battery pack.
  • Stay hydrated. All the dancing and singing can dehydrate you. 
  • Avoid ticket touts! Entry to the show will not be permitted unless you have downloaded your ticket.
  • Don’t buy unofficial merchandise! Use only official Ed Sheeran merchandise outlets at Hampden Park.
  • Have a great time and make sure to share your pictures and videos online.
